King George Field Indoor Bowls Club

Club Facilities

King George Field Indoor Bowls Club, located in Chessington, Surrey, has existed since 1971.

The Club consists of separate Mens and Ladies sections.

Administration of the Club is undertaken by Bowls Services (Tolworth) Limited, a Registered Company owned by the playing members of the Club.

The Club offers both social and playing membership during the indoor bowls season which lasts from the beginning of September until the end of April.

The playing 'green', a Dales Pro-weave carpet on laser-levelled boards, consists of 6 rinks. At the beginning of this season the 'speed' of our green was timed at 18.9 seconds, making it one of the fastest in the County.

Currently the total playing membership stands at 382 a combination of 275 men and 107 ladies.

Bowlers can participate in events which range from friendly and competitive inter-club matches, internal leagues, mixed drives, to National competitions. Members may also book rinks for casual play or practice.

Each morning, seven days a week, all rinks are available for a practice session which lasts from 8.30am to 10.00am, for the cost of £1.50

Coaching is available for beginners and inexperienced bowlers at the early morning practice sessions and at other times by arrangement.

Catering :
On weekdays, a comprehensive menu is available at lunchtime for all members and their guests.

Special parties may be catered for, but have to be booked in advance.


Bar :
The club's well-stocked bar is open every day during the lunch period and throughout the evenings.

There is a gaming machine for those who enjoy a flutter.
