Activities & Facilities

The Club offers both social and playing membership during the indoor bowls season which lasts from the beginning of September until the end of April.

The Club is in the process of unifying the Men's and Ladies' Sections.

The playing 'green', a Dales Pro-weave carpet on laser-levelled boards, consists of 6 rinks. The 'speed' of our green was last timed at 18.3 seconds, it is still one of the fastest in the County.

The total playing membership for the 2011/12 season stands at 360 (a combination of 269 men and 91 ladies).

Bowlers can participate in events which range from friendly and competitive inter-club matches, internal leagues, mixed ballots, to National competitions. Members may also book rinks for casual play or practice.

Each morning, seven days a week, all rinks are available for a practice session which lasts from 8.30am to 10.00am for the cost of £1.50.

There is also a free practice session between 6.00PM and 7.00 PM

Coaching is available for beginners and inexperienced bowlers at the early morning practice sessions and at other times by arrangement.

Catering

On weekdays, a comprehensive menu is available at lunchtime for all members and their guests.

Special parties may be catered for, but have to be booked in advance.

Bar
The club's well-stocked bar is open every day during the lunch period and throughout the evenings.

There is a gaming machine for those who enjoy a flutter.
